Franco Manca – Brixton
The pizza from Franco Manca is made in the traditional Neapolitan style and has impeccably well-sourced toppings. The highlight is the base which is the perfect combo of crispiness and chewiness, and has a distinct sour taste. Despite the high-quality, pizzas here are incredibly affordable and will not set you back much. Franco Manco now has over seventeen branches but their original Brixton branch is still one of the best.
Homeslice – Covent Garden
This joint in Neal’s Yard serves up pizzas that you can devour whole or by the slice. The whole pizzas are a whopping 20 inches, so we recommend you share with a buddy or two. The toppings are truly original and range from aubergine, cauliflower cheese, spinach and harissa to spiced lamb with savoy cabbage and sumac yoghurt. If can’t choose between the options you can always split two flavours across one pizza.
Pizza East – Shoreditch
Brought to us by Soho House Group, Pizza East has the subtle chicness you would expect from this glam brand. The sour-dough based pizzas comes laden with full-flavoured toppings like the black truffle with taleggio, mozzarella and cream or spicy sausage with mozzarella, broccoli and cream. Simple and honest, these pizzas are sure to satisfy!

Sticking to the traditional Neapolitan-style pizza, these pies are high-end Italian. The menu consists of homemade pizzas which are either tomato or ‘white’ (without tomato sauce) based, and are generously sized. If you are looking for a classic go for the salami pizza, otherwise we recommend the Ancozze which is a white pizza that comes topped with Tuscan sausage, wild broccoli, chilli flakes and smoked mozzarella.
